18th July 2015 - Mad Hatters Tea Party:
Held in our meadow next to the Immanuel Centre we had a wonderful afternoon. The theme was The Mad Hatters Tea Party so hats, the stranger the better, were the order of the day. A number of stalls provided a range of activities including putting, Ugandan crafts for sale, treasure map, tombola etc. and also a bouncy slide for the children to enjoy. There was a competition for the children to make a hat which was judged by Mark Warner from the Sailors Society.
The children (and adults) were also entertained by the 'Hands Up' puppet group.
Funds raised were split between the Little Angels toddler group and the Sailors Society. Throughout the afternoon refreshments including cream teas were served and thankfully the rain held off until we had finished packing up at the end of the day.
21st December 2015 Living Nativity:
The weather might have been cold, windy and wet but this didn't stop 200 people visiting the Living Nativity outside the Immaunel Centre. Carols were sung and the Christmas story told with the children enjoying time with the sheep, goats & rabbits of the Living Nativity. All followed by refreshments inside the Immanuel Centre.
