About Tadley

Tadley United Reformed Church About Tadley

Tadley

Tadley is a country town in North Hampshire. It is located in a triangle with Reading 10 miles to its north, Basingstoke 7 miles south east and Newbury 9 miles south west. The main employer in the area is the locally based Aldermaston Atomic Weapons Establishment. Tadley and its surrounding villages (Silchester, Pamber Heath, Baughurst, etc) form the Tadley conurbation, the population of which is around 20,000.

The town has a highly regarded comprehensive school, The Hurst Community College, and a number of excellent primary schools. Tadley has a large Sainsbury, Co-Op and many other small shops. There are a number of pubs and restaurants. The nearest major shopping town is Basingstoke with it's recently completed Festival Place shopping centre.
